Discovery Friday

We had a busy Discovery Friday this week. Jamie came for his next school visit and Kayla, Nadine and Haylee from Kea joined us. We loved having them all in Tui.

After morning tea and buddy reading we went out again, for skipping.

We had a great day! Thanks Keas for being part of our class. Thanks Jamie for visiting, we look forward to your next visit.

Skipping with Mrs Robinson

We had a great afternoon skipping with Mrs Robinson. Miss Francken came to join us too.

Tuesday fun in Tui

We had a busy day today.  

Maths in the morning ordering Popsicle sticks. Working together in a group was a little challenging, but also a lot of fun as we were figuring the tasks out together.

Great group work using the displays around the class to help us figure out which Popsicle stick to put next. We all had a role in our group and we worked well together.

After morning tea we went to the library for our weekly visit. 

Nadine had the most amazing surprise waiting for us.  We had been reading about pirates and made maps and pirate hats in class and we read and talked about this in the library too.

Today our library had been transformed into a pirate ship with sails, flags and oars and Nadine and Miss Francken had turned into pirates with hats sparkles and fluf.

Thanks Nadine for making our library visit even more memorable than it already is. We loved it!

World of Maths

We had a lot of fun exploring many different maths activities, some were quite easy and some were very difficult.

It was a lot of fun figuring out all these maths activities.
