The Library Mouse

Yesterday we read a story about a Library Mouse Sam. He lives in a library and he writes books at night.  When he finishes his books he leaves them on the library shelves for all to read and enjoy.

We were wondering if our Library at school might have a mouse like Sam.

Arriving at the library today for our weekly visit we spotted a trail someone had left for us.
It lead to a table with a box on it with a sign saying: 'Meet the Author'

We were very curious to see what was inside the box, could it be Sam?
We all had a turn to look inside the box.

We were amazed about what we found inside...

A busy but fun Discovery Friday with some Pukeko kids

We had a fun morning with ten Pukeko kids in Tui and three visitors, Brayden, Beau and Emma H.

We also had Nadine and Arwa helping us make Monsters and chalk drawings.

A big Thank You to Arwa and Nadine!

Dowse Gallery Trip

We had an amazing trip this morning to the Dowse Gallery.

Jen and Jolie were great, very knowledgeable and engaging. We learned about showing different colours with our bodies, we learned about Malcolm and his dolls, and we made special boxes with all things in it that make us happy. A big thank you to Jen and Jolie!

Also a massive thank you to all the parent helpers: Nadine, Arwa, Karina, Tim, and Shayna, we couldn't have gone without your help.

After we arrived at the Gallery all three classes had Morning Tea together and we explored colours and feelings.

We were split into two groups. We, together with half of Pukeko went for a walk around the Gallery first and we got to meet Malcolm and his dolls.

After our Gallery tour we were excited about making a super special box with all the things that make us happy inside it.

We had a lovely day to remember!
