Folk Dance show

Thank you to all the parents for coming to watch us show off our folk dances. We have worked very hard this term to learn so many of them.
We have made our teachers very proud today with our performance. Check out a few snapshots of our afternoon.

A super fun library visit!

We love visiting Mrs. Davidson in our library. Today we were extra lucky to have four Ruru helpers, Elena, Makaia, Cody and Nadine. They read stories to and helped us with activities. 

Thanks Ruru for helping us and thank you Mrs. Davidson for once again a super fun library visit!

An exciting start to week 10!

We are having a busy week and it started off with fun activities.

On Monday we potted plants which will be planted in Kaitoke national park when they are big enough.

Check out all the plants we potted.

And a big thank you to ranger Steve, Victoria and the other adult helpers.

We had a lot of fun potting plants and we wrote stories about it the next morning.

Tuesday afternoon Strike! came to perform for us. It was very loud, but also a lot of fun and they were amazing! We loved the fire song the best and the wall drums.

Pattern maths

We are learning about patterns this week. With a buddy we created lots of different patterns. Check out how hard we worked!

Our patterns became more complicated the more we practiced.

Week 8 in Tui Room

We've had a busy week in Tui Room this week. We did Drama in Pukeko and acted out the story of the Kuia and the Spider. 

We enjoyed buddy Maths in Ruru where we made up our own maths game.

We had a great time during Discovery this week. We had 2 visitors, Samantha and Briar.

Buddy reading is always fun and relaxing.
